Start FS scans

A file server scan may require an extended amount of time depending on your file server performance, load, network load, and number of file server directories required to be scanned. Initially, you can limit your scans on a few shares and minimize the scan depth.

1. Start the Configuration application.

2. Click Scans.

   

3. Locate the File server scan configuration.

4. Click to start or cancel the scan.

   

Scan status

During the scan, status information displays in the resource configuration window.
