Import or export data owner configurations

You can export and transfer an existing Data Owner configuration to another system—for example, from a test installation to a production environment. The functionality is not designed to perform this task, but it is possible. The JSON format is used for the export and import process.

To determine the required structure of the JSON format:

  1. Create a sample configuration with nested organization categories, data owners, resources, ordering workflows, and requesters in the configuration application.

  2. Export the sample configuration.

  3. Open the export file in an editor (such as Visual Studio Code or Notepad++) to analyze the structure.
