Add AD resources
This section describes how to add Active Directory (AD) resources in the Configuration application for monitoring.
The scan results are stored in an SQL database. Using the ARM Configuration application, you can access the results to troubleshoot and resolve access issues in your organization. Events that occur between scans are captured by the Logga (monitoring) features.
-
Click Scans.
-
In the Scans page, click Domain.
-
In the Active Directory selection window, select a resource.
If the credentials are not sufficient to locate all resources, you can change and refresh the list.-
Under Name, select the desired domain.
In some configurations, ARM may not be able to discover the desired domain. If this issue occurs, type a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) in the input field.
If the correct domain does not display, verify that:
-
The domain credentials are valid.
-
(8MAN license only) The domain is included in the license.
See License and server status for details.
-
(Foreign non-trusted domains only) The collector service is running.
See Run collectors in foreign (non-trusted) domains for details.
-
(Foreign non-trusted domains only) The valid collector configuration is available.
See Verify collector connection status and collector certificates for details.
-
-
Under Assigned collectors , select a collector for the AD scan.
By default, the Credentials field lists the ARM server basic configuration. You can select another set of credentials, if needed.
-
-
Click Apply.
