Switch from 8MAN to SolarWinds licensing

Access License Information and Server Status

1. Start the Configuration application.

2. Click License.

   

3. In the License Information and Server Status window, locate the License Information box.

   

4. Click Upgrade.

Activate one license key

Follow the instructions in Switch from an evaluation license to a production license.

Activate multiple license keys

Retrieve the Activation key

1. Go to the SolarWinds Customer Portal.

2. Enter your email and password, and then click Log In.

3. Click Licenses > Manage Licenses.

4. In the License Management screen, click the View drop-down menu and select Access Rights Manager.

5. Click + to maximize the Access Rights Manager table cell.

6. Under Activation Key, copy the key text to a safe place.

7. In the toolbar, click Account > Log out to log out of the Customer Portal.

Access the SolarWinds License Manager

On your ARM server, open SolarWinds License Manager. This is a standalone application included with your ARM setup.

Apply the Activation key

1. In License Manager, locate your product and click Upgrade.

   

2. Activate ARM.

   

   1. Paste the Activation key you obtained from the Customer Portal into the Activation Key field.

   2. Click Next and follow the instructions on your screen.

3. Repeat step 1 through step 2 until all Activation keys are activated.

Verify the activation

1. Return to the License Information and Server Status window.

2. In the License Information box, ensure that the Licensed field indicates Yes.

3. In the Technologies and Features boxes, review your license count and features.
