Collectors

Collectors collect resource and data system from Logga scans. The data is transferred to the ARM Server for processing. The ARM Server includes a built-in collector.

In large or distributed environments, you can install additional collectors to load balance, connect remote sites, and improve system performance.

You can install additional collectors to address the following situations:

  • Connect to remote resources. Installing collectors on remote systems reduces the WAN footprint and improves performance when executing scans or updating the access rights.
  • Meet the requirements for some resource types and features—for example FS Logga for Windows File Server.
  • Perform load balancing.
  • Meet the requirements for incorporating foreign domains (non-trusted).

Access the collectors list

  1. Start the Configuration application.

  2. Click the Collectors tile.

  3. Review the list of collectors. You can review information on the configured collectors or add new collectors.

The list of collectors contains details about the selected port, storage and CPU workload, number of scheduled jobs, and connection status.

Connection problems are often caused by firewalls. See the port requirements listed in the system requirements for more information.
