Order script-based services

In addition to ordering user accounts, authorizations, directories, or freely definable objects ( such as OpenOrder), you can order other script-based services using the web client.

IT defines a service that can be executed using a script. The service gets a meaningful name (for example, "order a project structure on the file server"). The employee orders the service in GrantMA and enters the basic data using a template. After the individually configurable approval flow, the script is started automatically.

  1. Log in to the web client with your username and password.

You can also log in as a current windows user. A user name and password is not required.

  2. In the toolbar, click Requests > New Request.

  3. Under Organizations, click the organizational category that contains the targeted service.

    For example, Marketing.

  4. Under Create new objects, click Request to create a project folder.

  5. Enter the project folder information.

    1. In the Project Name field, enter a name for the project folder.

    2. Click the Year drop-down arrow and select a year.

    3. Click Add to shopping cart.

  6. In the toolbar, click Shopping cart.

  7. Review your resource order.

    Click to cancel the request.
  8. (Required) Enter a comment regarding this order.

  9. Click Request.

  10. Review your request.

View your resource order

After your order is approved, the folder structure is generated by a script outside of ARM. To add the new folders to ARM, rescan the corresponding directory.

  1. Log in to the Access Rights Manager application.

  2. In the toolbar, click Resources.

  3. Under Resources, navigate to the targeted folder.

  4. Right-click the folder and select Rescan directory.

See Configure scripts (Administrator) for more information.
