Introduction to the Service Portal
This guide provides a basic introduction to your SolarWinds Service Desk (SWSD) Service Portal. The guide will help end users/requesters become more comfortable working within the Portal. In addition, system administrators can use this guide to help users transition to using the Service Portal.
What is the Service Portal?
The Service Portal helps users log incidents, make service requests, find detailed answers to their most frequently asked questions, and move through an intuitive interface. The Service Portal will let users perform a handful of actions, such as submitting a new incident or service request, and checking the status of their requests. Another helpful function is the ability to search the knowledge base. After completion of this guide, users will know how to interact with their organization’s customized Service Portal.
