New features
-
Add custom fields to task names. You can add fields like Requester to the title of tasks to differentiate between tasks that use the same name. See Service catalog tasks.
-
Use custom field inputs in service request update record actions for the Description field. You can now have SWSD use custom field inputs when an automated workflow is updating the Description field of a service request. See Update Record.
-
Discovery Agent installation for Linux. You can install the Discovery Agent on a single Linux machine. See Agent installation for Linux.
-
Mobile app supports inactivity-based timeout. Through your organization's login policy, you can require mobile application users to re-log in after 12 hours from their last activity. See Login policy.
-
Edit view option added to the Custom Fields index page. You can now edit the view of the Custom Fields table so you can add/remove columns, filter, and sort. See Custom Fields index page.
-
Subnets are visible through their router connections. Any subnets identified through Discovery are now visible when viewing a router's details' page. Conversely, you can see router connections from a subnet's details page. See Router configuration.
-
Custom customer satisfaction surveys. You can create custom surveys that contain multiple questions, use star ratings, use dynamic forms to dynamically present follow-up questions based on responses to other questions. See Surveys.
-
Activation link expiration. Activation links sent to new customers have an expiration time. This prevents any unauthorized access attempts if the activation link is not used. Each activation email provides guidance on the validity period of the link.
-
New updates to Updated At field. The Updated At field now updates for all incident-related actions, including when an attachment or related item is added. You can also use the filter option via API.
-
User ability to delete shared views and edit filters in shared views. If User A shares a view with another user (User B), User B can delete the view from his own list of views. User B can also edit the filters for a shared view, but the changes to the filter affect only User B’s view. See List view.
