New features

This release includes the features below.

  • Sort incidents by resolution code. Although you could previously add the Resolution Code field to the incidents index page, you could not sort by it. Now you can. For more information see Understand the columns in the incidents index page.

  • Show dynamic form modal only when necessary. If your organization has in-line edit turned on (under Setup > Global Settings > Service Desk Settings), SWSD displays a pop-up to collect data for new fields based on dynamic forms. Previously, that pop-up displayed even if there was no new field to populate, resulting in unnecessary clicks.

SolarWinds has changed the logic on which that pop-up operates. The pop-up now displays only if there is a mandatory field that contains no value. Users are now prompted only when something mandatory needs their attention. This change allows users to continue their work uninterrupted.

  • Integrate Microsoft Teams with SWSD so your end-users can use Teams to:

    • Submit a ticket.
    • View a list of tickets they have created.
    • Add a Incident index table to a ticket or mark it as resolved from the ticket detail view.
    • Use the Microsoft Teams mobile app to perform the actions listed above.

For more information see Microsoft Teams integration.

Fixed issues

Case number Description
01109414

A fix was released for the issue where URL parameters were used in a process integration workflow action and SWSD ignored the parameters. SWSD will now use such parameters if specified.

This fix might result in a change of behavior for some process integration "calls."
01102296

A fix was released to add disposed, stolen, and duplicate assets back into the backup files. This change allows organizations to better understand the history of their assets. For more information, see Assets Management.

If you have any issues or bugs related to the released features, open tickets via the SolarWinds Portal or by emailing technicalsupport@solarwinds.com.
