Configure Confluent Cloud integration
To integrate Confluent Cloud with SolarWinds Observability SaaS:

In SolarWinds Observability SaaS, click Add Data at the top.

In the Add Data dialog Intro, click the Integrations tab, and then click Confluent Cloud.

In the Add Confluent Cloud dialog, choose whether to use the SolarWinds Observability Agent or the SolarWinds OTel Collector and click Next.
For more information on deploying the integration using the SolarWinds OTel Collector, see OpenTelemetry Collector.
To only display Agents running in a Kubernetes cluster, click the List only Agents... toggle.
If you want to install a dedicated Agent on a dedicated host, add the host and then add the Confluent Cloud integration. See Add a self-managed host.

Specify credentials to be used for authenticating the Confluent Cloud integration in SolarWinds Observability SaaS.

Add New Credential
Select this option to create new credentials. Provide a name for the credentials set and the requested details, such as password, API key, and/or client secret.

Use Existing Credential
Select this option to use existing credentials. Select credentials from the list.

On the Configuration page, if using the SolarWinds OTel Collector to deploy Confluent Cloud, enter the name for the collector and for the integration, and download the
config.yamlfile. See OpenTelemetry Collector for more information.Review the configuration and click Deploy to deploy the changes to the agent.

Provide a Display Name.

Review the Collection Interval.

In Cluster ID, provide the ID of the Kafka cluster where the Confluent Cloud is running.

When the installation is complete, you can continue to observe Confluent Cloud data. Use the buttons on the Summary screen.
To view metrics collected for Confluent Cloud, click Analyze > Metrics and search for confluent. See Metrics Explorer for details.
