View active alerts
The Active Alerts page displays a list of all active alerts. Active alerts are alerts that are have been triggered but not cleared. The list includes acknowledged alerts.
Open the Active Alerts page
To open the Active Alerts view, you can do either of the following:

In the left pane, click Alerts > Active Alerts.

From the Home dashboard, click the title of the Active Alerts widget.
Locate an alert
To locate a specific alert, you can sort, apply filters, or search:

Click a column heading to sort the list by Severity, Alert Source, Active Since, or Alert Setting.

Apply filters to show only a subset of the alerts, such as all critical alerts or all unacknowledged alerts.

If the Filters pane is closed, click the filter icon
to open it. -
Select one or more filters to apply them.
The Active Alerts view lists only the alert definitions that meet all filter criteria.

To search for an alert, enter part of the Alert Source or Alert Setting name in the search box. The Active Alerts view lists only the alerts whose source or alert definition name includes the string you entered.

Open the alert definition
For more information about the alert definition behind an active alert, click the alert definition name in the Alert Setting column to open the alert definition view.
View troubleshooting information
If the metric was triggered by an entity, you can view troubleshooting information to help you find the root cause of the alert. The troubleshooting view includes information such as other entities currently triggering the alert, related entities, metrics, logs, and other active alerts triggered by the entity.
To open the troubleshooting view, either:

Click the entity name in the Alert Source column.

Hover over the table row, click the vertical ellipsis (
) in the far-right column, and then click Troubleshoot.
View information about the triggering entity
If the metric was triggered by an entity, you can view more information about the entity in the Entity Explorer. Hover over the table row, click the vertical ellipsis () in the far-right column, and then click Open in Entity Explorer.
Other actions
From the Active Alerts page, you can also:
- Mute an alert for a specified period of time or until it is resolved
- Acknowledge an alert
