Add Ruckus wireless controllers
Add Ruckus wireless controllers to SolarWinds Observability.

Requirements

Supported devices - Ruckus SmartZone, Ruckus One

Network Collector 2025.2 or later

For Ruckus One, you need the following details:

Region
-
Tenant ID
-
Client ID
-
Client Secret

Ruckus One account with at least read-only permissions. See Understanding Administrator Roles.

For Ruckus SmartZone, you need the following details:

Username

Password

Add a Ruckus wireless controller

In SolarWinds Observability SaaS, click Add Data at the top.

On the Add Data dialog, click the Network tab and click Ruckus Wireless Controllers.

Select the Ruckus solution to monitor and click Next.
- Ruckus One
- Ruckus SmartZone

Select a network collector or deploy a new one.

On Define Orchestrator Node, provide the polling hostname or IP address of the controller.
Optional settings
- To identify the device in SolarWinds Observability SaaS, specify a display name.
- To add a custom tag to the device, click Add Tag and specify the key and the value for the tag. You can also add tags to the device later on the device details page, in the Overview tab.

Specify orchestrator credentials and click Next.

If you already have defined credentials, select Existing and select credentials from the list.

To create new for Ruckus One, enter the following details:

Region - select an option from the drop-down.

Tenant ID

Client ID
-
Client Secret

To create new credentials for Ruckus SmartZone, enter the following details:

Username
-
Password
-
-
-
On Summary, review the information and click Submit.
The device is added for monitoring.
