Add Prisma orchestrators and edge devices

Add Prisma SD-WAN orchestrators and edge devices to SolarWinds Observability.

Requirements

• Network Collector 2024.4.1 or later

• Edge devices and orchestrator must be monitored using the same Network Collector.

Add a Prisma orchestrator

1. In SolarWinds Observability SaaS, click Add Data at the top.

2. On the Add Data dialog, click the Network tab and click Prisma orchestrators and edges.

3. On Select Orchestrator, review the options, ensure that Add a new orchestrator is selected and click Next.

4. Select a network collector or deploy a new one.

5. On Define Orchestrator Node, provide the polling hostname or IP address of the node.

   Optional settings

   • To identify the device in SolarWinds Observability SaaS, specify a display name.
   • To add a custom tag to the device, click Add Tag and specify the key and the value for the tag. You can also add tags to the device on the Summary screen.

6. Provide your Client ID, Client Secret, and TSG ID. Click Next to continue.

   These details are generated when you create a service account for your Prisma tenant. See Add a Service Account... in Palo Alto documentation.

7. On Summary, review the information and click Submit.

   The device is added for monitoring. To monitor edge devices, complete the steps for Discover and import edge devices for a Prisma orchestrator.

Discover and import edge devices for a Prisma orchestrator

1. In SolarWinds Observability SaaS, click Add Data at the top.

2. On the Add Data dialog, click the Network tab and click Prisma orchestrators and edges.

3. On Select Orchestrator, select Use a monitored orchestrator, select the orchestrator you want to add edges for, and click Next.

   SolarWinds Observability SaaS now starts discovering all edge devices managed by the selected orchestrator. This may take a few minutes.

4. On Select edge devices..., select the devices you want to add for monitoring and click Next.

   If an edge device is already monitored by the selected Network Collector, the selection is blocked. The checkbox grayed out.

5. On Summary Edges, review the information on devices to be added and click Submit.

   The edge device(s) are imported for monitoring.
