Synthetic Secrets

Add Synthetic secrets to use in place of authentication passwords, or other personal information in your Synthetic transactions. Click Settings > Synthetic Secrets to open the Synthetic secrets settings.

Add a Synthetic Secret

Your secret (such as a password of personal information) will be store securely. Please note that it can be used in synthetic transactions. If your secret is not masked when entered on a website, it may be visible in transaction screenshots.

  1. Click Add Secret.

  2. Enter the name for your secret.

  3. Enter the value for your secret.

  4. Click Save.

Update stored secrets

View and update any stored secrets on the Synthetic Secrets settings page. Search for specific secrets using the search bar.

  1. Click the ellipsis of the desired synthetic secret.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Update the name of the synthetic secret as desired.

  4. Click the Change secret value toggle to reveal the secret value field. Note that the secret value field is blank, and you will be unable to view the previously entered secret.

  5. Enter a new secret value.

  6. Click Save.

Delete Synthetic secrets

Remove any outdated or unused secrets on the Synthetic Secrets settings page. Note that you can see the age of any secret in the secret age column.

  1. Click the ellipsis of the desired synthetic secret.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. Click Delete to confirm deletion.
