Delete an alert definition

If an alert definition is no longer needed, you can delete the definition if you have the required permissions.

Delete one alert definition

You can delete a single alert definition from the Alert Settings page or from that alert's details view.

From the Alert Settings page

  1. In the left pane, click Alerts > Alert Settings.

    The Alert Settings page lists all configured alert definitions.

  2. Locate the alert you want to delete.

  3. Hover over the table row, and click the vertical ellipsis () in the far-right column. Then click Remove.

    You can also select the alert definition and click the Remove button above the list.

  4. On the confirmation dialog, click Remove.

    The alert definition is removed, and any active alerts are also removed.

From the alert details view

  1. In the left pane, click Alerts > Alert Settings.

    The Alert Settings page lists all configured alert definitions.

  2. Locate the alert you want to delete.

  3. Click the alert name to open the details view.

  4. In the upper-right corner, click the vertical ellipsis (). Then click Remove.

  5. On the confirmation dialog, click Remove.

    The alert definition is removed, and any active alerts are also removed. The Alert Settings page opens.

Delete multiple alert definitions

  1. In the left pane, click Alerts > Alert Settings.

    The Alert Settings page lists all configured alert definitions.

  2. Locate the alerts you want to delete, and select the checkbox on each row.

    A row of buttons is displayed above the list.

  3. Click the Remove button.

  4. On the confirmation dialog, click Remove.

    The alert definitions are removed, and any active alerts are also removed.
