Storage Gateway
Overview
AWS Storage Gateway is a hybrid storage service that enables your on-premises applications to seamlessly use AWS cloud storage.
Setup
Installation
If you haven't already, first set up the AWS CloudWatch integration. No additional steps are needed for installation.
Configuration
On the AWS CloudWatch integration page, ensure that the Storage Gateway service is selected for metric collection.

Percent of application reads served from the cache. |

CachePercentUsed (percent) |
Percent use of the gateway's cache storage. |

CachePercentDirty (percent) |
Percent of the gateway's cache that has not been persisted to AWS. |

CloudBytesDownloaded (bytes) |
The total number of compressed bytes that the gateway downloaded from AWS during the reporting period. |

CloudDownloadLatency (milliseconds) |
The total number of milliseconds spent reading data from AWS during the reporting period. |

CloudBytesUploaded (bytes) |
The total number of compressed bytes that the gateway uploaded to AWS during the reporting period. |

UploadBufferFree (bytes) |
The total amount of unused space in the gateway's upload buffer. |
|
CacheFree (bytes) |
The total amount of unused space in the gateway's cache storage. |

UploadBufferPercentUsed (percent) |
Percent use of the gateway's upload buffer. |

UploadBufferUsed (bytes) |
The total number of bytes being used in the gateway's upload buffer |

The total number of bytes being used in the gateway's cache storage |

QueuedWrites (bytes) |
The number of bytes waiting to be written to AWS, sampled at the end of the reporting period for all volumes in the gateway. |

ReadBytes (bytes) |
The total number of bytes read from your on-premises applications in the reporting period for all volumes in the gateway. |

ReadTime (milliseconds) |
The total number of milliseconds spent to do read operations from your on-premises applications in the reporting period for all volumes in the gateway. |

TotalCacheSize (bytes) |
The total size of the cache in bytes. |

WriteBytes (bytes) |
The total number of bytes written to your on-premises applications in the reporting period for all volumes in the gateway. |

WriteTime (milliseconds) |
The total number of milliseconds spent to do write operations from your on-premises applications in the reporting period for all volumes in the gateway. |

TimeSinceLastRecoveryPoint (seconds) |
The time since the last available recovery point. |

WorkingStorageFree (bytes) |
The total amount of unused space in the gateway's working storage |

WorkingStoragePercentUsed (percent) |
Percent use of the gateway's upload buffer. |

The total number of bytes being used in the gateway's upload buffer |
