Simple Notification Service (SNS)
Overview
Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) is a flexible, fully managed pub/sub messaging and mobile notifications service for coordinating the delivery of messages to subscribing endpoints and clients.
Setup
Installation
If you haven't already, first set up the AWS CloudWatch integration. No additional steps are needed for installation.
Configuration
On the AWS CloudWatch integration page, ensure that the SNS service is selected for metric collection.
Metrics
Name | Description |
---|---|
NumberOfMessagesPublished (count) | The number of messages published. |
PublishSize (bytes) | The size of messages published. |
NumberOfNotificationsDelivered (count) | The number of messages successfully delivered. |
NumberOfNotificationsFailed (count) | The number of messages that Amazon SNS failed to deliver. This metric is applied after Amazon SNS stops attempting message deliveries to Amazon SQS, email, SMS, or mobile push endpoints. |
SMSSuccessRate (count) | The rate of successful SMS message deliveries. |
