EC2 Container Service (ECS)
Overview
Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS) is a highly scalable, high performance container management service that supports Docker containers and allows you to easily run applications on a managed cluster of Amazon EC2 instances.
Setup
Installation
If you haven't already, first set up the AWS CloudWatch integration. No additional steps are needed for installation.
Configuration
On the AWS CloudWatch integration page, ensure that the ECS service is selected for metric collection.
Metrics
Name | Description |
---|---|
CPUReservation (percent) |
The percentage of CPU units that are reserved by running tasks in the cluster. |
CPUUtilization (percent) |
The percentage of CPU units that are used in the cluster or service |
MemoryReservation (percent) |
The percentage of memory that is reserved by running tasks in the cluster. |
MemoryUtilization (percent) |
The percentage of memory that is used in the cluster or service. |
