Monitoring Heroku Apps

There's two easy ways to monitor Heroku apps with AppOptics:

Heroku add-on

AppOptics is available as an add-on in the Heroku Marketplace, meaning it can be enabled automatically for apps running on Heroku.

For more information, check out our detailed documentation in the Heroku Dev Center.

Monitoring a Heroku app inside an existing AppOptics account

While provisioning a Heroku add-on creates a new account dedicated to that app, AppOptics can also pull Heroku monitoring data into an existing AppOptics account with a log drain. The in-app wizard walks you through the 2-step configuration process:

Head to the integrations settings in your AppOptics account to get started.

More information on log drains is available from Heroku: Log Drains <https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/log-drains>.

Navigation Notice: When the APM Integrated Experience is enabled, AppOptics shares a common navigation and enhanced feature set with other integrated experience products. How you navigate AppOptics and access its features may vary from these instructions.
