Balancing Environment
Consult this widget for an overview of your load balancing environment, or to display an element in the context of your load balancing environment. Monitored objects of individual categories in the load balancing hierarchy are represented by icons showing the current status of each object.
Names of load balancing elements are hidden to concisely display your entire environment. To display object names, click Edit and select Show Names.
See basic information about a problematic object
Position the mouse cursor over the icon.
To see only objects with issues (all except for green icons), select Only Problematic Objects in the drop-down box in the top-right corner of the resource.
See more details about the object
Click an item and select Display Details Page to see details for the selected object. Each details page provides additional information about that object, for example, concurrent connection count. Details pages also include a Balancing Environment resource to see related objects and navigate to them.
See relations of an object
Click an item, and select Show Relations. The resource will display objects in the load balancing hierarchy related to your selection. Relations are depicted by a line.
The object you started with is highlighted with a box, and appears below the heading. At the end of the resource, you can see the total of monitored objects in individual categories, grouped by status.
To return to the overview of the whole balancing environment, click the x next to the object name below the resource title.

Add GTM or LTM nodes for monitoring
When NPM is monitoring an LTM or GTM and detects an H/A peer that is not being monitored, the H/A peer is displayed as a gray, unknown node. The tooltip shows the node name and IP address.
To poll additional information about unknown nodes, add them to monitoring. Right-click the object, click Add Node as Monitored, and complete the Add Node Wizard.
Names of nodes not monitored in NPM are displayed in italics. To show names, click Edit and select Show Names.
Why are objects grouped?
To keep relationships legible, objects in the resource are sometimes grouped, either vertically (virtual servers, pools, and pool members), or horizontally. Grouping occurs when listing all objects would take more than two lines.
Click a group to display objects in it. Click a status group to list objects in the group. Click an object to open the details page for it.
