Rule Actions — Legacy

Actions are triggered when all the filters for a rule are evaluated as TRUE. Multiple actions can be defined for each rule. You can define actions to do the following:
- Display a message
- Log messages to a file
- Forward messages to another host
- Play a sound
- Run an external program
- Send an email message
- Send a syslog message
- Log messages to a database
- Log messages to a database with bulk insert
- Log to the NT event log
- Send an SNMP trap
- Stop processing the message
- Run a script
- Send a pager or SMS message via NotePager Pro
- Log messages to Kiwi Server Web Access
- Reset flags and counters
- Log messages to Papertrail.com (a cloud-based server)
- Log messages to Loggly
- Log file rotation
- AutoSplit values
- Message content or counters
