New features and improvements in KSS NG
Search by IP address
Search events by IP address using the search filter. The search filter will match results based on full or partial IP address with the corresponding Host address column.
Brute-Force Protection is enabled for log on credentials
Brute-Force Protection protects your account from many unsuccessful login attempts. With Brute-Force Protection, after too many login attempts have failed, you will be unable to login for a set amount of time. See Configure Security Options in KSS NG.
Windows Server 2025 support
KSS NG now supports Windows Server 2025.
General improvements
- SMTP credentials are encrypted in the settings file and decrypted SMTP credentials are displayed correctly in the UI.

Installation or upgrade

KSS NG is a separate application from the legacy version of Kiwi Syslog Server. If you installed the legacy version of Kiwi Syslog Server, you must either uninstall it or stop the KSS server before installing KSS NG. Legacy Kiwi Syslog Server and Kiwi Syslog Server NG cannot run on the same machine because they use the same listening ports.
