Scripting resources — Legacy
This documentation is for legacy Kiwi Syslog Server versions 9.8.3 and older. See the KSS NG version of Scripting resources for the newest version of the following documentation.
When you add an action to run a script or create a scheduled task to run a script, use the following resources to help you write the script. Use the examples in the \Scripts
folder located in the Kiwi Syslog Server installation directory to get started writing scripts. The folder contains sample scripts that show you how to play sounds, send e-mail, log to file, and other actions.
You can share your custom parsing scripts with the SolarWinds Community.

Note: Kiwi Syslog Server only supports Visual Basic Scripting and Microsoft JScript. For information on installing additional scripting languages, see Add an action to run a script.
