Managing IP addresses is a key capability of Hybrid Cloud Observability and is also available in a standalone module, IP Address Manager (IPAM). Hybrid Cloud Observability and IPAM are built on the self-hosted SolarWinds Platform.

These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in IP Address Manager 2022.3. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

New features and improvements in IPAM

IPAM 2022.3 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases of IPAM.

IPAM 2022.3 is now built on the new SolarWinds Platform and installed with the new SolarWinds Installer.

Installation and upgrade

If you are on a version earlier than IPAM 2020.2.6, first upgrade to 2020.2.6 and then upgrade to 2022.3. Before upgrading, see Considerations for upgrading from the Orion Platform to the SolarWinds Platform.

For information about installing IP Address Manager, see help for the SolarWinds Installer, and refer to the IPAM Getting Started Guide to learn about configuring and customizing IPAM.

Use the SolarWinds Installer to upgrade your entire SolarWinds Platform deployment (all SolarWinds Platform products and any scalability engines).

Fixed issues

IPAM 2022.3 fixes the following customer issues.

00636996 An issue where custom properties were incorrectly handled in bulk IP address edits has been resolved.
00805261, 00634458 An issue where the same IP address was returned for multiple requests has been resolved.

With this release, IPAM now runs on the SolarWinds Platform. IPAM 2022.3 contains all of the fixed issues since the IPAM 2020.2.6 release, including all IPAM 2020.2.6 Hot Fixes and fixes in SolarWinds Platform 2022.2 and 2022.3.

July 27, 2023: End-of-Life (EoL) – SolarWinds will no longer provide technical support for IPAM 2019.4.

This version of IP Address Manager deprecates the following platforms and features.

Deprecated platforms and features are still supported in the current release. However, they will be unsupported in a future release. Plan on upgrading deprecated platforms, and avoid using deprecated features.

Browser support All versions of Internet Explorer will become unsupported in a future release. Some pages are not compatible with IE 11. Do not enable Enterprise Mode in IE 11. It is not supported.
