Serv-U Web Client: Home
When the Serv-U Web Client is launched, the Home page is initially displayed, showing a list of files and directories available from the current remote path.
Menu
Until you select one or more items from the list, the following menu options are displayed. Click More to show all options.
| Upload | Click to upload one or more files from your computer to the current or selected directory. When you click this, a window is displayed enabling you to either drag and drop files from other Windows-based applications or find them by browsing. |
| New Folder | Click to create a new folder within the current directory. |
| Refresh | Refreshes the display. |
| Add to Favorites |
When you click on this option, a window is displayed allowing you to enter a name for the current or selected directory. This name and directory path is then displayed when you click on Favorites in the left hand menu. |
| Details | Click to display information about the current or selected folder. |
Each file and folder is in the list is followed by three vertical dots. Click this icon to display the following menu:
| Download | Click to download the selected item to your computer. If you select a folder or multiple items, contents are combined into a zipped file. |
| Rename | Enables you to rename the selected file or folder. |
| Favorite |
When you click on this option, a window is displayed allowing you to enter a name for the current or selected directory. This name and directory path is then displayed when you click on Favorites in the left hand menu. |
| Details | This option is only displayed if a folder menu is clicked. Click to display information about the selected folder. |
| Delete | Delete the selected file or folder. |
When you select a file or folder by selecting the checkbox before its name, the options change to the following.
| Download | Copy the selected items to your computer. If you select a folder, its contents will be combined into a zipped file. |
| Rename | (Not displayed if multiple items are selected) Enables you to rename the selected file or folder. |
| Delete | Enables you to delete the selected item on the server. |
When you click on a folder, you drill down into that folder. The breadcrumbs at the top of the screen show your progression, and enable you to navigate backward.
Click on an image file to preview the image. Click off the image to close.
Favorites
The Favorites page, accessed by clicking Favorites in the left menu, lists those pages you have selected as "favorites". These are specific to your account.
Click on a Favorite to go to that directory.
