Set up custom branding in Serv-U

From the Serv-U login page, in the Limits and Settings section, click the Branding setup tab to access the custom branding options. These options include:

  • Modernized login page branding, which enables customization of this new login page.

  • Legacy login page branding, which preserves the custom HTML logic for the legacy login page.

  • Web Client branding, which includes settings for customizing the Web Client.

How do these changes affect users of custom HTML on the legacy login page for Serv-U versions prior to 15.5?

A limit called Allow legacy login UI was introduced in Serv-U 15.5. Because modern custom branding is now available, the Allow legacy login limit is set to No by default.

Users who have already installed a previous version of Serv-U and want to continue using custom HTML on the legacy login page must have this limit set to Yes by an administrator.

Users who have already installed a previous version of Serv-U and have used the legacy login page, but would like to begin using the modern custom branding should take the following steps:

  1. Ensure the value for the Allow legacy login UI limit is set to No. (This is the default.)

  2. Disable the custom HTML option by unchecking the checkbox in the Legacy Login Page Branding section.
