Serv-U settings can be defined at four levels: global, domain, group, and user. Although some settings are specific to the level, many can be defined at multiple levels.
|Global||Global level settings apply throughout Serv-U unless overridden at a lower level. (Sometimes Global settings are referred to as Server settings.)|
|Domain||If you configure a setting at the domain level, the setting applies to all users, groups, in that specific domains unless overridden at the group or user level.|
|Group||Groups are optional in Serv-U, and enable you to apply settings to a group of users. Users can be easily added and removed from groups.|
|User||User settings are applied at the individual user level and override all other settings.|
