Downloading and installing Engineer's Toolset for Desktop
SolarWinds strongly recommends that you install Engineer's Toolset on a server that is protected from unauthorized access by the public. If your use of Engineer's Toolset does not need to be public or internet-facing, install it on a server that is neither public, nor internet-facing. 1. Download installation files and license from Customer Portal |
If you have not yet created a SolarWinds account, see Access the Customer Portal to create an account.

2. Run the installation file |
You can also silently install Engineer's Toolset for Desktop. See silent installation. |

3. Complete the installation wizard |
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. The installer scans the environment to ensure that the system requirements are met. If there's an issue with your system, the installation stops, and the installer gives you an error message describing the problem. You can find troubleshooting help in the Success Center. When you've resolved the issue, run the installer again. |
