Policy rule status retention in SCM

When a policy is deleted from Server Configuration Monitor (SCM), data is removed only from PolicyEngine_Policy, PolicyEngine_Rule, and PolicyEngine_DataSource tables. When the policy is unassigned from a node, data is removed only from the PolicyEngine_AssignedRule table. The database views ensure that only actual data is returned for SWIS entities. The remainder of orphaned records are removed during database maintenance.

Database maintenance also removes historical data from the PolicyEngine_RuleStatistics if that data older than one year (by default). This value can be changed on the SCM Settings page on the Data Retention tab.
