Monitoring virtual environments is a key capability of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and is available in the Advanced edition. Virtualization Manager (VMAN) is also available in a standalone module.

VMware Events Details - Related VMware Events widget

When viewing a VMware Event's Details page, the Related VMware Events widget shows a list of VMware events related to the currently viewed VMware event (events that happened on the same data source). Related events that occurred in the selected time frame (the default time frame is within 1 hour prior to when the selected event occurred) are shown in the timeline.

The Related VMware Events widget can show related events in three categories: Error, Warning, and Informational.

  • Click the icon of a category to hide or show events from that category.
  • If no categories are selected, related Error and Warning events that happened in the selected time frame are shown automatically while Informational events are hidden.
  • If no categories are selected and no related Error or Warning events happened in the selected time frame, related Informational events are shown automatically.
