Improved Suppression Rules
Improvement
We have launched a more polished version of our Suppression rules along with its corresponding Public APIs.
This latest version of our Alert Suppression feature will provide more flexibility and fine control over the nature of alerts being suppressed.
FAQ
Will this updated version affect my current suppression rules already defined?
This latest version will automatically import your previously saved suppression rules. Any new suppression rules can henceforth be defined and configured using the latest version.
I have set up Suppression Rules using Squadcast Public API. How will this change affect my configuration?
In this scenario, the old rules defined using our public API will still be functional. However, you would not be able to create or modify suppression rules using the old API. Hence you are requested to use the updated Suppression Rules API.

We have now added the ability to filter incidents by tags. You can use the search box within the filter to narrow down your tag value or check the relevant ones from the list shown.

Our latest improvement now allows you to map your Squadcast Incidents to your specific Jira project and sync the priority in the two using our Tagging Rules.

Early Access: Improved Incident Details Page

We just released a Beta version of our new Incident Details Page. This version includes UI improvements with more detail-rich information that helps you with faster incident resolution.
You can enable this Early Access Preview by following the steps below:

Click on Previews from the Main Menu dropdown.

Click on Enable to enable the New Incident Details UI for all your Incidents.
Service Dependency Based Deduplication
New
Service Dependency Based Deduplication helps you deduplicate incoming events for a service against the latest open incident of its service dependencies.
Service Dependency Based Deduplication works on the logic that the incidents coming in for a service and its dependencies have a related cause.

Incident Status Based Deduplication
New
We just released Incident Status Based Deduplication to help deduplicate all open events to an existing open Incident for a service.
Status Based Deduplication works on the logic that all incidents that come in for a service is related to the same cause. So, if there is an open (Triggered or Acknowledged state) incident for a service, any and all incidents that come in for this service will get deduplicated against this open incident.

We’ve revamped our Global Search and made it easier to navigate within the platform when you need key information with simple search queries.
You can even search for Postmortems through Incident Number, Incident Title, Impacted Service, Created After Date, Created Before Date and Postmortem content.

Alert Source Integration: PRTG Network Monitor

You can perform bulk actions on incidents, get more information about an incident and filter incidents by service, alert source, assigned-to, and status all from within the Incident List.

Based on popular request, we rolled out new improvements in our Schedules feature which makes it easier than ever to create any complex, custom on-call shifts in just a few steps.

The following new features, improvements, and fixed issues were made to SolarWinds Incident Response during April.
Schedule Overrides
New
We just added the functionality to create Schedule Overrides.
With this functionality, an existing schedule for a specific period of time can be overridden to meet your updated preference for an on-call shift.
This also ensures that only the updated users in the new override shift will get notified of incidents triggered during the override shift period.

View Who is On-call
New
You can now see Who is On-call at any given time at the top right corner of your screen.
You can also click on the profile icons to view what Schedules, Squads and Escalation policies they are a part of.

Get notified before your on-call shift starts
Improvement
With our latest improvement on Schedules, you will now receive an automated email communication 1 hour before the start of your on-call shift.
Squadcast API V3
New
We recently released the latest version of Squadcast Public API which provides the ability to access certain Squadcast features within your account. It allows you to configure users, services, grouping incidents, and more to help further reduce noise and speed up response times.
You also can play around with our pre-made APIs using our Postman collection.

If you are using the old version of Squadcast API, please migrate to Squadcast API V3. The older version of the Squadcast API will be deprecated shortly.
Alert Source: Coralogix
New
We just released an alert source integration with Coralogix. You can now bring in alerts from Coralogix into Squadcast.

Alert Source: Jira Cloud

We just released an alert source integration with Atlassian's Jira Cloud. You can now bring in your Jira tickets as incidents into Squadcast.

Improvement: Escalation Policies

With the new Escalation Policy improvement, you can override a user's personal notification rules by turning off the Personal Notification Rules toggle and adding in the notification modes of your choice.

Add Multiple Alert Sources for a Service
New
Squadcast now supports multiple alert sources for a given service. We previously supported just one alert source per service.

With this, you can Deduplicate Events coming from different alert sources.
You can also have specific Tags for a specific alert source.

Escalation Policy Improvement
Improvement
We have recently made a small change in how the escalation policies work. We now consider the absolute time for the rule escalations. That is, for each rule, the escalation time is calculated from the time of the incident trigger.
Please reconfigure your current escalation policies keeping this in mind.

It was earlier calculated using relative time. That is, from the time of previous notification trigger to the next.

SSO Improvements - Role configuration support
Improvement
We have added more roles to choose for the default role in the SSO configuration settings and also introduced an optional custom key/value pair called role with possible values Admin, User & Stakeholder which will overwrite the configured default user role.
This custom key - value may not be supported by all SSO providers.

Version 2 of Alerts API (APIv2)

You can use the version 2 of our API integration (APIv2) to trigger and resolve incidents in Squadcast through HTTP POST.
