Engineer's Toolset for the Desktop tools
The following tools are available with Engineer's Toolset for the Desktop:

| Advanced Subnet Calculator tool | Helps you calculate subnet masks and manage IP addresses. |
| Bandwidth Gauges tool | Provides real-time traffic monitoring. It monitors the use and amount of data received or transmitted by any remote network device using SNMP to communicate and gather traffic statistics. |
| Cisco ACL Editor tool | Used to view, edit, and manage access control lists (ACLs) on Cisco devices. |
| Config Compare tool | Used to compare any two configurations for differences. |
| Config Download tool | Used to download the configuration files from a Cisco router or switch. |
| Config Transfer tool | Used to upload or download Cisco device configuration files. |
| Config Upload tool | Used to upload configuration files to a Cisco router or switch. The Config Upload tool can be used to change an entire config or just one or two parameters. |

Used to download, compare, edit, and upload configurations for Cisco routers and switches. |
| CPU Gauges tool | Monitors CPU load on routers, switches, and Windows 2000 and later computers. |
| DHCP Scope Monitor tool | Polls DHCP servers to extract IP address scopes and highlight scopes that have few addresses remaining. |
| DNS & WhoIs Resolver tool | Retrieves information about domain names and IP addresses. |
| DNS Audit tool | Helps you locate DNS database errors by scanning a range of IP addresses and performing reverse DNS lookups for each address. |
| Edit Dictionaries tool | Used to build a database of words to be used during an SNMP or password attack. |
| Enhanced Ping tool | Continually monitors multiple devices, displaying real-time response time information in multiple types of charts. |
| IP Address Management tool | Monitors which IP addresses are in use on your network across multiple subnets. |
| IP Network Browser tool | Scans a subnet and shows details about the devices on the subnet. |
| MAC Address Discovery tool | Discovers the MAC addresses, hardware manufacturers, IP addresses, and host names of the devices connected to your local subnets. |
| MAC Finder tool | Searches a list of switches for a specific MAC address. |
| MIB Scanner tool |
Scans within a range of device IP addresses for specific OIDs, and shows which devices support MIBs and their values. |
| MIB Viewer tool | Queries the MIB database to display any OID or table. It provides a fast method to retrieve frequently used MIBs, but it does not provide browsing of the MIB tree. |
| MIB Walk tool | Walks the SNMP tree for a target device and pulls the value of each OID in the supported MIBs. |
| Neighbor Map tool | Discovers devices on your network using Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) and Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP). |
| NetFlow Configurator tool | Provides a simple, wizard-driven tool to remotely configure your NetFlow-capable Cisco routers. |
| NetFlow Generator tool | Generates simulated network flow data to test and validate your configurations. |
| NetFlow Realtime tool | Provides a granular view of your network traffic, showing the most recent 5 to 60 minutes of flow data broken out by applications, conversation, domains, endpoints, and protocols. |
| NetFlow Replicator tool | Distributes a single stream of network flow data to multiple destinations for flow or security analysis. |
| Network Monitor tool | Monitors devices to track response time and packet loss, and to notify you when a device stops responding. |
| Network Performance Monitor tool | Monitors devices to track network latency, packet loss, traffic and bandwidth usage, node and interfaces status, and other critical data points. You can view and acknowledge events and configure alerts. |
| Network Sonar tool | Performs network discovery to build a database of the structure and devices on a TCP/IP network. |
| Password Generator tool | Generates random passwords using specific character requirements. |
| Permissions Analyzer tool | Provides a complete hierarchical view of the effective permissions and access rights for a specific file folder (NTFS) or share drive. |
| Ping tool | Provides an alternative to the Ping utility provided by the operating system. Ping sends ICMP packets to a target IP address displays the current response time, running response time, and packet loss. |
| Ping Sweep tool | Scans a range of IP addresses using ICMP pings and shows which IP addresses are in use and which ones are currently free. Ping Sweep can also look up the DNS name for each IP address using your configured DNS and WINS servers. |
| Port Scanner tool | Remotely discovers the status of TCP ports on devices. |
| Proxy Ping tool | Measures network latency between a remote Cisco router and another SNMP-enabled device. |
| Real Time Interface Monitor tool | Simultaneously displays statistics from routers and switches. |
| Remote TCP Reset tool | Remotely displays all active sessions on a terminal server, router, dial-in server, access server, and more. It can also reset any TCP session remotely. |
| Route Viewer tool | Collects data from multiple network devices and then displays the tables together in one view. |
| Router CPU Load tool | Monitors the CPU load on routers and provides the ability to generate pop-up alert messages when router load exceeds a user-defined point. |
| Router Password Decryption tool | Decrypts Cisco enter 7 passwords. |
| Send Page tool | Send an email or page using the email gateway setup within the Network Monitor tool. |
| SFTP & SCP Server tool | Provides a secure multi-threaded SFTP/SCP server used to upload and download files. |
| SNMP Brute Force Attack tool | Floods an IP address with SNMP queries to attempt to determine the SNMP read-only and read and write community strings. |
| SNMP Dictionary Attack tool | Attacks a set of IP addresses with SNMP queries to attempt to determine the SNMP community strings using a dictionary of community strings. |
| SNMP MIB Browser tool | Queries remote devices for software and hardware configurations via SNMP and discovers what MIBs and OIDs are supported on a particular device. It analyzes the results from each SNMP query and displays the information in a readable form. |
| SNMP Realtime Graph tool |
Collects and graphs data from any MIB, monitoring a number of parameters including traffic, CPU processor load, voltage on a power plant, unique user per web server, temperature, and VoIP Traffic. |
| SNMP Sweep tool |
Scans a range of IP addresses, shows which IP addresses are in use, and provides information including DNS name, system name, location, contact, last reboot, and system description. |
| SNMP Trap Editor tool | Used to modify SNMP Trap templates used by the SolarWinds Network Management Tools. |
| SNMP Trap Receiver tool |
Receives and displays SNMP traps sent from network management applications, network devices, and servers. You analyze the format of the trap and verify that a trap source is configured and functioning properly. |
| Solar Putty tool | Used to manage multiple telnet or SSH sessions from one console with a tabbed user interface. With Solar Putty you can save your credentials for sessions for easy login, automate scripts once a connection is established, and find saved sessions with the Windows search integration. |
| Spam Blacklist tool | Used to block emails from IP addresses that are known sources of spam. |
| Subnet List tool | Builds a list of network subnets by scanning route tables on a seed router. |
| Switch Port Mapper tool | Remotely discovers the devices connected to each port on a switch or hub. Additionally, Switch Port Mapper discovers the MAC address, IP address, and host name of connected devices, as well as details about each port such as operational status and port speed. |
| Syslog Server tool | Listens for incoming syslog messages on User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port 514, decodes the messages for logging purposes, and stores the messages in a local database. |
| System MIB Editor tool | Used to remotely change the system name, location, and contact for a device. |
| Telnet/SSH tool | Used as a terminal emulation client for interacting and communicating with network devices. |
| TFTP Server tool | Transmits and receives multiple configuration files at the same time using multiple connections. |
| TracerouteNG tool | Shows the path network traffic takes from your PC to a target server or device and displays SNMP information about the devices it discovers. |
| Wake on LAN tool | Used to power on a PC remotely. |
| WAN Killer tool | Generates wide area network traffic, and then interactively tests the connection and adjusts the traffic generated to achieve the desired load. |

Monitor network devices and notifies you when network response time begins to degrade or when a device is down. |
| WMI Browser tool | Used to monitor various statistics on your Windows servers using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). |
