Remote TCP Reset tool
The Remote TCP Reset tool in ETS for the Desktop is a security tool that can remotely display all active sessions on a terminal server, router, dial-in server, access server, and more. You can also reset any TCP session remotely.
Open the Remote TCP Reset tool

To launch the tool from the Toolset Launch Pad, locate the Remote TCP Reset tool and click Launch.

You can add the tool to a tab in the Workspace Studio, and access it from there.

To launch the tool from the Windows Start menu:

Click Start > All > SolarWinds Engineer's Toolset.

Right-click Remote TCP Session Reset, click More, and click Run as administrator.

Display a list of TCP sessions connected to a remote device

Enter the host name or IP address in the Device Name or IP field.

Enter the SNMP community string for the remote device in the Read-Write SNMP Credential field.
Reset a remote TCP session

Connect to the remote device using the steps listed above.

Select the session from the list, and then click Session > Terminate Session.

You can reset a TCP session only when you are using the SNMP read and write community string.

You can only terminate sessions which are running on Cisco devices.

Remote TCP Session Reset supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
Remote TCP Session reset settings
Settings can be adjusted to ensure Remote TCP Session Reset operates the way you want.

Click Edit > Settings.

Adjust the Auto Refresh Rate slider to establish how often the statistics refreshes when Auto Update is enabled.

Click the Advanced tab.

To force Remote TCP Session Reset to use SNMP V1 packets, check Disable SNMP V2 Support.
Disabling SNMP V2 Support greatly reduces the speed at which statistics can be gathered.
Export from Remote TCP Session reset
The Remote TCP Session Reset tool includes a powerful export engine for exporting the results into different file formats.

Connect to the remote device.

Click File > Export, and then select a format.

Select the fields to include in the export.

Specify a path and a file name, and then click Save.

When I click Break, nothing happens. Why?
Are you using the SNMP read and write community string? You can display a list of TCP sessions using the read-only community string, but cannot break them.
