NetFlow Replicator tool

Use the NetFlow Replicator tool in ETS for the Desktop to distribute a single stream of network flow data to multiple destinations for flow or security analysis. The service configuration created through the NetFlow Replicator will continue to run after you exit the tool. When you reopen the tool, you will connect to the running service and display its current metrics.

Open the NetFlow Replicator tool

  • To launch the tool from the Toolset Launch Pad, locate the NetFlow Replicator tool and click Launch.

  • You can also add the tool to a tab in the Workspace Studio, and access it from there.

Distribute network flow data

  1. Configure the listener. The listener is where NetFlow data will be received.

    1. Specify the host name or IP address of the NetFlow device you want to configure.

    2. Specify the port.

  2. Configure the destination(s). You can add multiple destinations. Each destination is a remote machine where NetFlow Replicator will send the NetFlow records it receives.

    1. Specify the host name or IP address of the NetFlow device you want to configure.

    2. Specify the port.

    3. Specify the sampling rate.

    4. Optional: Click Add destination to add additional destinations.

  3. Click Run service.
