SFTP & SCP Server tool
The SFTP & SCP Server in ETS for the Desktop is a secure multi-threaded SFTP/SCP server used to upload and download files. You can use it to upload and download executable images and configurations to routers and switches.
Open the SFTP & SCP Server tool

To launch the tool from the Toolset Launch Pad, locate the SFTP & SCP Server tool and click Launch.

You can also add the tool to a tab in the Workspace Studio, and access it from there.
If the SFTP & SCP Server is already running, right-click the icon in the tray and select Open SolarWinds SFTP/SCP Server.
The SFTP/SCP Server Settings dialog opens.
Configure the SFTP & SCP Server tool
The SFTP & SCP Server runs as a service, but some basic configuration may be necessary to ensure the SFTP/SCP server performs in a way that works best within your environment.

Enter or browse to the location you want to use as your root folder in the Root Directory field.

Select the protocols you want the server to support from the Allowed Protocols list.

Select the options you want to enable in the Permitted File Transfer Operations grouping.

Click the TCP/IP Settings tab, and then specify the port number you want to use in the TCP Port field.

To specify the IP address configuration, click Use custom IP address binding,and then select the IP address you want to use.

To enable user authentication on the server, complete the following procedure.

Click the Users tab.

Click New User.

Enter the user name and password, and then click Apply Changes.

To remove any users, select the user name, and then click Remove.

Click the Startup & System Tray tab.

To start the SFTP/SCP server when Windows starts, select Automatically run this application when I log on to Windows.

Specify if you want the application to close or minimize to the system tray in the Clicking the close button section.

Click OK.
