LA 2022.4.1 release notes

These release notes describe fixed issues in Log Analyzer 2022.4.1. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

New features and improvements in LA 2022.4.1
LA 2022.4.1 is a service release and provides stability fixes compared to previous releases of LA.
LA 2022.4.1 runs on SolarWinds Platform 2022.4.1. For more information, see the SolarWinds Platform 2022.4.1 Release Notes.
Fixed issues
As LA now runs on the SolarWinds Platform, LA 2022.4.1 contains all of the fixed issues from the previous SolarWinds Platform 2022.2, SolarWinds Platform 2022.3, and SolarWinds Platform 2022.4 releases, as well as the new SolarWinds Platform 2022.4.1 release.

New customer installation
For information about installing LA, see the SolarWinds Platform Installer.
Before you upgrade
If you built syslog and trap alerts using custom SQL queries, they will not function after upgrading to 2022.3 or later. SolarWinds recommends you rewrite the alerts using SWQL (Orion.OLM entities) or using the alerting functionality built into Log Analyzer.
How to upgrade
You cannot upgrade LA 2019.4 and earlier to LA 2022.4. You must be on LA 2020.2.1 or later to upgrade to LA 2022.4. If you are on LA 2019.4 or earlier, first upgrade to 2020.2.6 and then upgrade to 2022.4.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version, use the following resources to plan and implement your upgrade:

Use the LA Install and Upgrade Guide to help you plan and execute your upgrade.

When you are ready, download the upgrade package from the SolarWinds Customer Portal.
If you are upgrading from LA 2022.2, remove the following file from all agents (both local and remote) after upgrading and restart the SolarWinds Agent services:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Agent\Plugins\LA_WindowsEvents.Agent.plugin
Failure to remove this file after upgrading from SolarWinds Platform 2022.2 may result in future licensing conflicts.
End of Life
For modules based on Orion Platform 2020.2.6 and earlier, SolarWinds is announcing future end-of-life plans for your convenience. As always, SolarWinds recommends you upgrade to the latest version of your products at your earliest convenience.
