LA 2023.2 release notes
Release Date: April 18, 2023
These release notes describe new features and fixed issues in Log Analyzer 2023.2. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

New features and improvements in LA 2023.2
LA 2023.2 provides stability fixes compared to previous releases of LA. See Fixed issues below.
LA 2023.2 runs on SolarWinds Platform 2023.2. For more information, see the SolarWinds Platform 2023.2 Release Notes.
New customer installation

Before you upgrade
If you built syslog and trap alerts using custom SQL queries, they will not function after upgrading to 2022.3 or later. SolarWinds recommends you rewrite the alerts using SWQL (Orion.OLM entities) or using the alerting functionality built into Log Analyzer.
How to upgrade
If you are upgrading from an earlier version, use the following resources to plan and implement your upgrade:

Use the LA Install and Upgrade Guide to help you plan and execute your upgrade.

When you are ready, download the upgrade package from the SolarWinds Customer Portal.
If you are upgrading from LA 2022.2, remove the following file from all agents (both local and remote) after upgrading and restart the SolarWinds Agent services:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Agent\Plugins\LA_WindowsEvents.Agent.plugin
Failure to remove this file after upgrading from SolarWinds Platform 2022.2 may result in future licensing conflicts.
Fixed issues
LA 2023.2 includes all of the fixed issues in SolarWinds Platform 2023.2. See SolarWinds Platform 2023.2 release notes.

End of Life
For modules based on Orion Platform 2020.2.6 and earlier, SolarWinds is announcing future end-of-life plans for your convenience. As always, SolarWinds recommends you upgrade to the latest version of your products at your earliest convenience.
