Capacity Forecast Chart
According to the metric displayed, the resource is available as:
- CPU Capacity Forecast Chart - displays the CPU capacity usage trend for the selected node. If placed on an Interface Details view, the resource shows data for the parent node.
- Memory Capacity Forecast Chart - displays the memory capacity usage trend for the selected node. If placed on an Interface Details view, the resource shows data for the parent node.
- Storage Capacity Forecast Chart - displays the storage capacity usage trend for the selected volume.
- Interface Utilization Receive Forecast Chart - displays the utilization trend for traffic received by the interface.
- Interface Utilization Transmit Forecast Chart - displays the utilization trend for traffic transmitted by the interface.
Cannot see correct data?
Make sure the following requirements are met:
- Nodes, interfaces, or volumes must be managed in Orion, and by default, the database must contain at least 7 days of historical data.
- Appropriate pollers must be enabled for monitored nodes. If the poller is disabled for a node, the resource does not display on the view, even if you add it.

| Trend slope |
The arrow indicates whether the capacity usage trend is rising or falling. The value is provided in percent points per day. |
| Warning |
The current value defined as the warning threshold, and the calculated time in which the threshold will be reached. If the threshold is already overstepped, the label reads Now, and the column background turns yellow. |
| Critical |
The current value defined as the critical threshold, and the calculated time in which the threshold will be reached. If the threshold is already overstepped, the label reads Now, and the column background turns red. |
| At capacity |
The forecast of time in which the capacity will be fully used. If the capacity is fully used, the label reads Now, and the column background turns black. |
Change title and subtitle
Click Edit, adjust the labels, and click Submit.
To change the title and subtitle for the chart, click Advanced, and adjust the default values.
Edit the resource: zoom range, historical data, or the polling frequency
- Click Edit.
- Change the time settings.
- Default zoom range
- Default amount of historical data
- Sample Interval: Specify how often polled data will be automatically summarized and displayed as a single point or bar in the chart.
- Click Submit.
Zoom in and out
Use the slider below the chart, or click the zoom buttons above the chart (1h, 12h, or 24h).
Export the chart
You can send the customized chart to your colleagues or boss in an e-mail, or print it out and present it in a meeting.
Click Export.
The resource will open in the Custom Chart view where you can customize the data shown by the chart and export the chart to xls, html, or pdf. See Custom Chart page: customization common for legacy and classic charts.
