Node Capacity Forecast
This widget provides the information about the CPU load and percent memory usage trend on a node. Forecasting the full usage of CPU or available memory can help you take measures in time, before your resources are exhausted.
The widget displays capacity forecast calculated using the selected method (peak or average).
Requirements
- Orion needs at least 7 days of historical data to calculate the forecast.
Table legend
| Column | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Resource | What is observed on the node (currently CPU load and memory usage). |
| Last 7 days |
The average usage trend in the past 7 days. The value is in percent points, an arrow icon indicates whether the trend is rising or falling. |
| Warning |
The current value defined as the warning threshold (either the general threshold, or the customized threshold), and the calculated time in which the threshold will be reached. If the threshold is already overstepped, the label reads Now, and the column background turns yellow. |
| Critical |
The current value defined as the critical threshold (general Orion threshold or the threshold customized for the node), and the calculated time in which the threshold will be reached. If the threshold is already overstepped, the label reads Now, and the column background turns red. |
| At capacity |
A forecast of time in which the observed resource capacity will be fully used, and the calculated time in which the full capacity will be reached. If the full capacity is reached, the label reads Now, and the column background turns black. |
Change title and subtitle
Click Edit, adjust the labels, and click Submit.
