Before you upgrade (for SRM Profiler/STM users only)
The SRM Profiler (also known as STM) reached EOL on January 1, 2022, and therefore integration between SRM and SRM Profiler is no longer supported. If you still have SRM Profiler integrated with SRM, you will need to disable integration before updating. Because the SRM license is held on the SRM Profiler, you will then need to deactivate the license and apply it to SRM.
If you try to upgrade while SRM Profiler integration is still active, the installation is halted and a warning message is displayed.
Step 1 - Disable SRM Profiler
-
Navigate to Settings > All Settings > SRM Settings > Manage SRM Profiler Module Integration.
-
Click Disable Integration.
Step 2 - Deactivate the License from the SRM Profiler
-
Access the STM console (http://<ip address>:9000) using administration login credentials.
-
Go to Settings > License Manager, then click Deactivate.
You will receive a pop up window that the license has been deactivated.
Step 3 - Apply the License to SRM
-
Navigate to Settings > All Settings.
-
In the Details section, click License Manager.
-
Find SRM in the list of products and click Activate.
-
Enter the license details for SRM from your customer portal.
Step 4 - Uninstall the SRM Profiler
Installation or upgrade
For new installations, you can download the installation file from the product page on https://www.solarwinds.com or from the Customer Portal. For more information, see Get the installer.
For upgrades, go to Settings > My Deployment to initiate the upgrade. The SolarWinds Installer upgrades your entire deployment (all SolarWinds Platform products and any scalability engines). Refer to the SRM Getting Started Guide to learn about configuring and customizing SRM.
For more information, see the SolarWinds Platform Product Installation and Upgrade Guide.
End of life
For modules based on Orion Platform 2020.2.6 and earlier, SolarWinds has announced end-of-life plans. As always, SolarWinds recommends you upgrade to the latest version of your products at your earliest convenience.
