New features and improvements in SEM
Last updated:
Dark Mode support
Dark Mode changes the SEM web console display to a light-on-dark color scheme. This color scheme helps reduce eye strain and glare in dark environments and improve readability in bright environments.
See Enable Dark Mode located in the SEM Administrator Guide for more information.
Enhanced historical search filtering
Using a live event filter, you can create a historical event query that locates historical events for a time range greater than seven days and up to thirty days. After you create and save the query, you can schedule the query to run automatically on specific times and days for your reporting purposes.
See Create a historical event query from a live event filter located in the SEM Administrator Guide for more information.
Kubernetes cluster container monitoring
You can monitor your Kubernetes (K8s) cluster containers using a node-level agent running as DaemonSet. After you configure and implement the agent, you can view the container logs in the SEM Console.
See the following topics located in the SEM Administrator Guide for more information:

Upgrade the SEM agents
For AIX, HPUX and Solaris, agent installers are not shipped with OpenJDK. As a prerequisite, install Java by performing the following steps:
-
Upgrade your Java installation to the latest version (Java 11 or equivalent). See the system requirements for the supported versions.
-
Upgrade the SEM agents using the latest custom Java installer.
After you install and configure a SEM agent on an HP-UX server, the agent may not run as expected.
