Enable SEM to receive SNMP traps
Turn on the SNMP Trap Logging Service to enable SEM to receive SNMP traps from devices and applications on your network. SEM can correlate events sent as SNMP traps from devices that have a device-specific connector.
SEM can also correlate performance alerts sent as SNMP traps from the following SolarWinds solutions:
- Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
- Server & Application Monitor (SAM)
- Virtualization Manager (VMAN)
The SNMP Trap Logging Service must be enabled to correlate events sent by these SolarWinds products.
SEM receives SNMP traps on port 162.
