HPE StoreOnce System
This SAM application monitor template assesses the overall health and performance of HPE StoreOnce System for enterprise backup, recovery, and deduplication storage.
The application monitor template includes PowerShell-based component monitors built-in for monitoring components and metrics across system health, alerts, storage, services, throughput, cloud activity, and housekeeping operations.
Prerequisites
Before using the HPE StoreOnce template, the following must be available:
-
HPE StoreOnce REST API version 4.1.x or newer.
-
The HPE StoreOnce appliance must be reachable from the SolarWinds execution host.
-
The appliance must be added to SolarWinds Platform as an External Node.
-
HTTPS connectivity to the appliance.
-
PowerShell execution must be available on the SAM execution host. PowerShell 5.1 should be installed and configured on target servers. For details, see Use PowerShell in SAM.

Credentials
A valid HPE StoreOnce local account must be configured in SAM credentials with permission to access the required REST API endpoints.
Quick Configuration
-
Add the HPE StoreOnce System appliance as an External Node in SolarWinds Platform.
-
Configure the HPE StoreOnce local account in the SAM credential settings. The password is used by the monitor scripts only for API authentication.
-
Assign the HPE StoreOnce System application template to the External Node.
Default Settings
The HPE StoreOnce System application monitor includes settings inherited from the template. Once assigned to a node, these can be overridden, see Assigned Application Monitor.
