Monitoring your applications and environment is a key capability of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and is available in the Essentials edition. Server & Application Monitor (SAM) is also available in a standalone module.

Assigned Application Monitor

Use this page to edit assigned application monitors by modifying the application name and adding, removing, or editing the associated component monitors.

Available actions

  • Click Override Template for each setting and specify the new values.
  • Click the template name to navigate to the Edit Application Template page.
  • Click Add Component Monitor to create a new component monitor. Expand an existing component monitor to modify it.

Enabled extended debug information by expanding Advanced and then set Debug logging on and specify the Number of log files to keep. This can be helpful when working with SolarWinds Support.

When you modify a monitor, it no longer inherits the modified property from the SAM template associated with the application.
