Connect an iPhone to a standard or hosted installation
You can connect an Apple iPhone to a standard or hosted Web Help Desk installation.
Connect to a standard installation
- Navigate to Settings > Server.
- Make sure the Configuration option is set to Default.
- Input the DNS name of the server on which Web Help Desk is installed.
- 
                                    Set the appropriate port. Port 8081 is the default port number, unless it has been changed in the whd.conffile or Server Options.
- Turn on SSL only if it has been enabled in the whd.conffile or Server Options. If SSL is enabled, make sure the port option matches the SSL port.
Connect to a hosted installation
- Navigate to Settings > Server.
- Make sure the Configuration option is set to Hosted.
- 
                                    In the Account # field, specify your Subscriber ID number. You can find your ID in the Hosted Web Help Desk application at Setup > General > Options > Custom Login URL. Your ID is the number at the end of the login URL. 
- 
                                    Set the Host to: webhelpdesk.com
- 
                                    Set the SSL option to: On
- Return to Settings and add the Tech Username and Password to connect with and set up Notifications.
- Click Done to authenticate the iPhone configured in the Web Help Desk server.
