Getting Started with SAM

The Getting Started with Server & Application Monitor widget provides a link to begin using the key SAM features. To access the widget, click Settings > All Settings > SAM Settings.

• Scan Nodes for Applications - Walk through steps to select a node to scan for available applications to monitor. You can select nodes, scan and locate applications, and add them for continued monitoring.
• Manually Assign Application Monitors - Walk through adding new application monitors to monitor through SAM. You can filter the list, review nodes, test, and assign application monitors to nodes.
• Component Monitor Wizard - Walk through selecting and modifying a component monitor for adding to an application monitor or template. You can then assign the component monitor to nodes in your environment.
