Configure web proxy settings in the SolarWinds Platform
This topic applies to all SolarWinds Platform products.
If your SolarWinds Platform server does not have Internet access, you can use a proxy server to allow the SolarWinds Platform server to connect to certain pages and websites. Use a proxy server to:
- Access the THWACK community
- Access the product blog
- Check for maintenance updates
- Access an alerting instance you integrated with your SolarWinds Platform server. See Alert Integrations in the SolarWinds Platform.
Proxy settings are also used to enable the proxy when creating API pollers. For more information, see Use API pollers to monitor metrics.

In the SolarWinds Platform Web Console, click Settings > All Settings > Product specific settings > Proxy Settings.
