Monitor custom statistics

On your Network Collector, you can define custom statistics (pollers) and assign them to monitored devices. See Poll custom statistics on monitored devices.

Review custom statistics

In Metrics Explorer, search for the sw.collector.CustomPollerStatistics.RawStatus metric.

Group by sw.collector.CustomPollerAssignmentOnNode.DisplayName and sw.collector.NodesDisplayName to see all custom poller metrics for all assigned devices.

Create alerts for custom poller metrics

When creating an alert, use the following settings and finish the definition of the alert:

  • In Entity type, select Network Device.

  • In Metric, select sw.collector.CustomPollerStatistics.AvgRate.

  • In Included tags, select sw.collector.CustomPollerAssignmentOnNode.DisplayName is equal to the custom poller name you want to alert on.
