Create a NTM map

To create a map, run a scan, adjust found devices on the map, and save the map.

1. Create a new scan:

   1. Click New Scan.

   2. Add SNMP community strings, WMI and VMware credentials. See Specify discovery credentials.

   3. Identify the network segment (subnet, IP ranges). See Define IP addresses for discovery.

      You can ignore nodes that only respond to ICMP (ping).

   4. Name the scan and adjust the scope.

   5. Schedule a discovery.

   6. Review the Summary and click Discover to start the scan. A map is created automatically.

2. Rearrange objects on the map, add devices or delete devices you don't want to see.

3. Save the map.
