Concurrent Connections by Virtual Server
The graph displays the virtual servers handling the highest number of connections. This graph helps you spot abnormal connection count increases or decreases, quickly discover what services are most critical (by popularity), and take measures before the resources are overloaded.
When on the Balancing Overview, the resource shows data for the monitored F5 load balancing environment.
When on a Service Details view, the graph shows data for the virtual servers that are used to deliver that service.
Customize the chart
Click Edit, specify what the chart should display, and click Submit.
Specify how many items you want to see in the chart
Type the maximum number of items to the Maximum Number to Display box. You can hide/show individual items using the boxes below the chart.
Specify the time interval used for calculating top items
In Amount of Historical Data to Load, select the time interval used for calculating the top items.
Imagine there was a peak in concurrent users connected to a server two weeks ago. If the top servers are calculated using data from past 24 hours or past week, the server might not make it among the servers with the highest load.
Specify the default time interval shown by the chart
Select a time interval in the Default Zoom Range list.
Specify what a single point in the chart stands for
In Sample Interval, select a frequency. Data collected during the specified interval will be summarized and displayed as a single point or bar in the in the chart.
Add chart labels
Click Advanced and insert text or variables displayed as the title and subtitle for the chart.
You can use the graph in presentations for your managers or teams. Click Export, customize the chart, and click Export to XLS, Export to HTML, or Export to PDF (top-right corner).
Troubleshooting
When the resource shows no data, verify the following items:
- Make sure you are monitoring both the GTMs and LTMs that comprise the load balancing for a service. If not, add devices hosting the LTMs and GTMs for monitoring.
- Check out the polling interval. If you added the devices a short time ago, the data might not be polled yet. See How do I find out how often status and statistics data are polled?
